Electric car A.9288
Current state :
Riding
First and second class electric tram, with two axles, known as « Manage », built in 1909 by « La Construction » workshop in Manage.
This type of vehicle ran almost everywhere in Belgium (the Center, the Borinage, Brussels, Liège, Namur, etc.) and is inseparable of our line Anderlues-Lobbes-Thuin. The first class was materialised by removable velvet cushions that had to be moved to the back compartment at each terminus.
The A.9288 ran on the Brussels SNCV network. In 2000, the wooden body was saved by the ASVi when it had been used as a construction shelter in the Bruges countryside! The frame, similar to the one that fitted this motor car comes from the « Verviers tramways ».
It returned to service in 2014.
